Deciding on a charity to support for this academic year was an easy task for the EUPC committee. The obvious choice was Drum RDA, our local Riding for the Disabled charity. Founded in 1959, the centre helps disabled children improve their balance, muscle strength, co-ordination and confidence.
This week 7 EUPC members made their way out to Gilmerton for their first volunteering experience. The morning consisted of riding games in the area, hacks in the Scottish sunshine and clipping a rather woolly pony!
The highlight however was witnessing the children's sheer delight throughout. It was clear to see the positive impacts of Drum RDA and EUPC are delighted to be a part of it.
